Cello Retreat, Summer 2027

The Cello Retreat takes place in the summer (typically first week of August) at the Valle Crucis Conference Center in Banner Elk, North Carolina. This immersive overnight camp is designed for intermediate to advanced cellists who wish to deepen their technique and ensemble skills in a focused environment.

Daily classes run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and are led by Grace Anderson and Alan Black. Instruction includes technique, cello ensemble, masterclasses, chamber music coaching, and performance. During free time, participants may choose to join organized hikes through the beautiful surrounding area.

Housing | Meals: Participants stay in single rooms at the historic Valle Crucis Inn. All meals are served cafeteria-style and provided by the Valle Crucis Inn.
